They just dominated the line of scrimmage both ways. When they were on offense they dominated it. When they were on defense they dominated it. But I was pleased with our pass defense. We did well there, but we didn’t do well anywhere else.”When it seemed that Theragood wasn’t going to have a good running night, Briley said there was only one way to compensate.“The only way we can compensate for that is try to throw the ball some and open up their defense.’ he said. “We had to open their defense up before we could got some running room. They just dominated the line of scrimmage* We just couldn't be them tonight. They dominated us all over tne field.”Although Gosnell has never-beaten Trumann is 23 years, Briley said this was just another ball game.“We go out every week, trying to win 10 ball games,” he said. “We don’t try to look ahead to one over others We’d like to have won tonight because we’ve never beat them. Next year I’ll be trying to do the same thing. That’s just the way it goes.’’The coach added he didn’t know the extent of Ellis’ and Theragood’s injuries. Ellis was to be x-rayed after the game. Theragood was to be x-rayed Saturday morning. Briley said it is possible that they might miss some games depending on the extent of the injuries.
