Grandview, Manitoba. Wednesday. September 15th, 1MMeet the winners from GrandviewPictured above are the four Grandview boys that playedophy for Bantam B Baseball to this district. They were the ir players in the Grandview team and were picked for ibined team to compete in the playdown sarin by GilbertPm ofTOMMY SEMCMUKand his coveted trophy for best all round pitcher in the Western Canada series. Tom was also awarded a second trophy for the most strikeouts (12) in any one game. In the five games played by his team ct Prince Albert (2 with Alberta and 3 with Saskatchewan) he pitched two and a half games.!The other half of the 5-game ser- j ies pitching was done by Blaine j Stoughton, Gilbert Plains, and Norman Johnson, Foxwarron.Other trophies awarded team j players were: Blaine Stoughton for 1 being the leading hitter and one for most runs batted in; Kelly Turner: one for the first triple; and Norman Johnson, one for the j key hitter.
