Dejan and Poffenberger Big Heroes in SouthernATLANTA, Qa., Sept. 14.—(INS) Mike Dejan, Birmingham outfielder, today was proclaimed batting champion of the Southern association, While Cietus “Boots” Poffenberger, Nashville’e ace pitcher, rated the blue ribbon among hurlers.Dejan, who started the season with Chattanooga, was sold to Cincinnati in the National league and then famed out to the Barons, wound up With a final batting average of .371.Emil Mailho, the Atlanta swat-emith, chalged up an average of •364.
