FAMOUS GIRL ATHLETE WILL PLAY PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALLMildred “Babe” Didrikson ofBeaumont, Texas, probably themost versatile girl athlete of thecentury, has signed to lead an all-star girls basketball team th's season under the WrrtSgement of Ray Doan, House of David operator. The “Babe” turned professional last year after her participation in the Olympic games, but thus far has realized but little from her professional venture.Doan plans to have the girls play leading men and women teams in all the larger cities and hopes to have an extensive schedule. Hewill also manage pidrikson after the season ends but as yet has no definite plans as to her activities. Doan expects to start assembling the girls immediately after the baseball season ends.
