Sept. 14.—Toe crowd at the funeral today of Mrs. Etta Duryea Johnson wife of the champion heavy weight pugilist, who committed suicide Wednesday night was so great the police had to be called to clear a path to the hearse.Several thousand persons were in the street when the police arrived. Tbe mourners drove in automobiles to the church where the services were held. Mrs. Johnson’s mother and sister, Mrs. David Terry and Miss Elaine Terry of Brooklyn, M. Y. attended the ceremony.
