A 50 - lap fall championshiprace for modified stock car driversis scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Weedsport Speedway.The championship for late model stock cars was held last Sunday with Bob Wiegard of Jordan copping first place. He received a large trophy.Starting at the pole position on Sunday will be John McArdell, high point man for the season: Sam Reaks will be second; John Roberts, third and Wee Willie Allen, fourth. The latter two are from Auburn.The winning driver and car owner will both receive a trophy from Stanley Dudzinski, track manager.After Sunday’s championship the rest of lt;he racing season will be run in open competition and up to 280 cubic inch in both late model and modified stocks, Mr. Dudzinski stated.
