House of David to Offer MiTouring Team Hangs Up Fine Season RecordClub Wins 111 Games, Loses 24; ‘Pepper* and Donkey Games Are Scheduled.A regulation nine inning baseball game, a famous “pepper” game, two innings of regulation baseball and the appearance of a world famous girl athlete on the mound, all these features of entertainment will be offered Muscatine fans when the Muscatine Muskies meet Manager Ray L. Doan’s House of David baseball shop at League field here Tuesday night.The $30,000 field lighting equipment of the House of David club, used to illuminate the St. Louis Cardinal park and fields all over the country this year, will be installed at League field during the afternoon.Team Has Fine Record.The House of David club this year has amassed a fine record for the campaign, winning 111 games and losing 24 on its tour. Among the teams beaten wras the Portland team of the Pacific Coast league, one of the outstanding clubs in the west.Mildred “Babe” Didrikson, the Texas girl w'ho won fame in the Olympic games at Los Angeles, will take the mound for the Da-vidites for a time Tuesday night. Miss Didrikson is reported to have as much stuff on the horsehide as many of the outstanding semi-pro twirlers and she has levelled her fast ball at many fine hitters during the season.In the House of David lineup, which took first place and more than $6,000 in prize money in the recent Denver Post baseball tournament, will be Conley in left, Joseph at third. Holland in right, Jolles in left. Mullan at second. Blakeney at short. Cross at first, Hill catching. Miller, Ambrose, Hunter and Didrikson the pitchers.The Muskies will counter with Faulhaber at second, Vetter in center, Gib Jacobs at short, Mc-fntyre at first, Nietzel in left, Van Camp at third, Bennett in right, Hofer catching and Wilson, Jacobs and Tackleson the pitchers.“Pepper” Game Popular.The famous “pepper” game of the House of David club will be played in the fifth inning and from advance notices the game is one of the outstanding entertainment features of the visiting club.During the past seasons the House of David baseball club has gained national prominence in the world of sport and with the added attractions this year has even become more popular all over the country than ever before. The animals are famed for their stubborness and they show it often in this game. The donkey game wilt be exhibited as one of the features when the Muscatine Muskies meet the House of David club her ‘ Tuesday night.
