TOMPKINS PLANSaTO EVEN AFFAIRSFalegano States That He Is Training Hard for Return Match on Benefit Go.Freddy Tompkins, former Mason City an, lightweight, was to leave Milwaukee, wis., Monday and planned to arrive in Mason City early Tuesday morning for his 10 round main-evcnt bout against Henry Falegano, Filipino; light-weight at tho armory Thursdaynight------The tw§ battlers fought a great 30 round bout in Des Moines, last year in which the former Mason City slogger last a close decision and Thompson has been waiting the chance to even matters with the Filipino mauler. Tompkins, in. a letter to Matchmaker Joe Kelly, stated that he was in the best condition of his career and that he will taper offhis training- in a local gym.Matchmaker Kelly, while in Dos Molnea last week, called In r gym where he .saw Falegano going thru his training for thin bout in rough and tumble style and is coming up here Thursday morning with the sole purpose of defeating Tompkins, possibly by the knockout route.^ Francis Brady, Enimetsburg lightweight, has been signed to trade blows with Eddie Spencer of Fort Dodge in the opening four round bout. Both maulers are newcomers to Mason City fans but they come here well recommended to . the matchmaker by their managers.Two other .bouts will complete the benefit boxing show, from which the. American Legion drum corps will receive bnlf of the returns to defray expenses to the national convention at Detroit the latter part of this month-
