Stanfield Wells, who has been employed as helper In the blacksmith department at the Columbia roundhouse since his graduation from the Massillon high school last June, resigned from the service of the company on Thursday evening. He will leave in about a week for Ann Arbor, where he will enter the freshman class in tho University of Michigan. He will take up a literary course and intends to prepare for entrance into the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. He left this morning for Cleveland, where he spent the dav.
