Ray Doan To Manage Babe Didrickson’s Cage OutfitST. LOUTS, Sept. 11, (/P — Ray Doan, sports promoter and operator of the House of David baseball team, announced here today he had signed a contract to manage Mildred Babe” Didrikson, star girl athlete nf Beaumont, Tex,, as leader of a girl's basketball team,Doan said he will conclude his House of David baseball season In Milwaukee, Sept. 24, and expects to assemble the girls’ basketball team immediately.The promoter said he has guaranteed her a large sum of money” to lead the all-star team for three months, beginning the latter part of November. It is Doan’s plan to have the team play outstanding teams, either men or women, in all parts of the country.He said he would also have charge of Miss Dldrikson’s athletic activities after the basketball season ends.
