Pioneer Captures2 Harrier MeetsPioneer captured varsity and junior high cross country meets Tuesday.The varsity whipped North Judson 20-41 while the younger team handled Winamac 23-32.Paul Sar.chez of North Judson took the meet at Pioneer over the two and a half mile course in 13:21. Barry Goodrich led the Pioneer delegation in second place with a 13:4G.Following Goodrich for the Panthers were Joe Nies. third in 14:00; Randy Cole, fourth in 14:01; Don Conn, fifth in 14:15; and GilCrimmins sixth in 14:25.Pioneer also had Mike Herd eighth in 34:39 and Greg Lower, ninth in 14:47. North Judson scored with runners first, seventh, 10th, 11th and 12th.The varsity will be in the Maconaquah Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10:30a.m.Dave Lewellen won for Pioneer in the junior high meet in 6:47. The youngsters run a mile and a half. Steve Layer was third.
