Syracuse Chiefs Lead Series 2-0The pennant-winning SyracuseChiefs have moved to withinone victory of the Governors Cup for wanning the International League’s final baseball playoffs.A 9-5 triumph Thursday night over the Columbus Jets gave theChiefs.a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series, the winner of whichwill meet Omaha of the American Association in the Junior World Series.The series moves tonight^to Columbus for its remaininggames.Alan Closter limited Columbusj to two hits over the first sevenlt; innings as the Chiefs bunt a 7-0 lead, but the Jets scored fheruns off relief pitcher Ilal Reniffin the eighth and ninth.Bobby Cox gave the Chiefs a lead they never lost with a Lvo-run homer in the second, and he doubled home two more runs as the Chiefs scored four in the fifth. Three Columbus errors contributed to two Syracuse runsin the eighth that put the game ■out of reach.
