Sports Briefs- The Waynesboro Tigers Inc., cleared $1,637.60 on their Block Party In August; Receipts totaled $2,294.47 and expenses were $666.97. Tom Cross, who almost completely rewrote the basketball record book at Waynesboro Senior High School last season will be off tomorrow for Seton Hall at South Orange, N. J. Tom has a basketball scholarship and will come under the tutelage of Hohey Russell the former New York Celtic. He will be with the freshman squad the first season, Tom was ’ around saying good-bye to his friends i yesterday and declared he was going to stick it out to,the finish.
