He said this is a very important game for the Miners as Brown County is a Class AA school and a victory for the Miners doubles the points for them for a state playoff berth. The Miners will have to play their best with no lapses in thinking or execution, Coach Galbraith said. He also notedThe Brown County team is about the same size as Linton and has some veteran players. However, they did lose their good tailback last year and have had to replace him The Brown County team has lost its first two games to Mitchell 12 to 0 and by a lot of points to Mooresvilie. Anyone who has an established handicap at the golf course will match theirs against mine. Wayne Elliott will be at one tackle with Mike Harroll and Jerry McKimalternating at the other tackle position. Scott Wagner and J. Ken Wright will be at guards with Pat Sparks centering the football. The offensive back-field will have Dan Stockrahm calling the signals at quarterback, David Stockrahm and Dan Eccles at halfback and Matt Rice at fullbackDefensively for Linton, J Ken Wright will be the middle guard, Wayne Elliott will be at left tackle and Barry Kelly at the left end. Pat Sparks will play right tackle and Kirk Sanders right end Scott Wagner will be the left linebacker and Matt Rice the right linebacker. Tim Stockrahm will play the outside linebacker position Dan Stockrahm will be the safety in the secondary with Dan Eccles at left cornerback and Dave Stockrahm at right cornerback.Kirk Sanders looked very good against North Knox last week with several solo tackles and receiving key passes for nice, timely gains in yardage. Quarterback Dan Stockrahm put the Miners' passing game into gear last week with his throwing game in the final quarter to give the Miners their victoryMiner fans are looking for more performances, along with others which are expected to develop as the season progresses, starting with the game at Brown County.Fans are reminded that they will have to detour around the construction on Highway 54 in East Linton.
