Shiprock, Chinle Deadlock at 12-12SHIPROCK—The Shiprock Chieftains punched across two fourth quarter touchdowns Friday to gain a 12-12 tie with Chinle, Ariz.Chinle completed only two passes all night but they both went for touchdowns on bombs of 33 «nd 72 yards.Shiprock capped a 75 yard drive for its first score with Keith Lucas plunging over from the one yard line. Tht Chiefs attempted to run die extra points acroas but failed.The tying touchdown came on another one yard plunge by Lucas with only 35 **conds remaining in the *ame. Shiprock attempted to kick the extra point but a bad anap from center forced another rim, and it again fell short.The statistics were nearly as close is the final score with Chinle having the edge 10-1 in first downs and Shiprock leading in total offense 302 yards to 287.Gary Clark kept the Arizonans away from the door by booming four punts for an average of 46 yards and sparked the offensive line play of the Chiefs along with Terry Eshelman and Robert Curley.Lucas led in yards rushing with 61 and Harrison An had 42.
