Chicago Boxer and Hoosier Battler SignFor Hatch on Sept 17.Chicago, September 8—With the date set, the forfeits up and articles of ! agreement signed the match between Tony Caponi of Chicago and Jack Dillon of Indianapolis is now assured for Winnipeg, Cadada, on September 17.The match has been hanging fire for over three years. A dozen times the men have been billed to appear in different parts of the country, but at the last minute something has always come up to break the match.Dillon, who has entirely recovered from his automobile accident, which happened a week before he was to box in Terre Haute, Ind., has etarted training and ia putting in some bard licks.Jack figures that in Caponi bo ia meeting a man who knows the game and he can't take any chances on not being in the best of shape. Dillon will go to Winnipeg the latter part of the week and complete his training.Caponi’8 last battle in Canada was with Freddy Hicks ia Wionipeg, andafter stopping Hicks for the couot of eight in the second round he took things easy and allowed the Detroit fighter to I recuperate. In the seventh round Tony sent one into Freddie’s stomach that was as fair as a line drive. Hicks claimed foul, wouldn’t battle any more and the referee gave the bout to Caponi.Dillon’s last bout in Winnipeg was only a few weeks ago and, according to reports, he got a big surprize io George Ashe, a New Yorker. Jack won, but the battle taught him a lesson about not being in the best of shape when he goes in a ring.
