Green Valley Benefit Golf Attracts 160i ,Ctrl Gustafson of Newport scored a net 89 to win the Men's Division \o the Green Valley. Golf Club's Scholarship Fund' tournament played over the Labor Day weekend.. Eileen Babbitt of Portsmouth -won the Women's Division with a 71 and Bill Johnson of Newport took the Junior Division with a 72. A total of 160 players competed.Dick O’Connor and Carl Oakland were .tied for second low net with 70s in the Men's Division. Omer Hubert, Bichard Donnell and Bub Bamber all had 71j. Scoring 72s were Blit Russo Bob Sinclair. Ronnie Leliccq.Jim Clithero, Jim Smith, Walt Bums and Art Montclro.Ed Sullivan was nearest to the pin on the second green Sunday with Stan Tryzbhk Jbe nearest on Monday. Jim Smith was closest to the pin on the 12th hole Saturday, Ray Stuart on Sunday *nd Ed Sandomierski on Monday.Stan Janczura had the longest drive on the Oth hole Saturday, Frank Cabecclros the longest on Sunday and Roger Mathieu the longest on Monday.Joe Ainoruso won the men's blind bogey prize and Lorraine McBride the pri20 for the women. The award for the highest score on any one hole went to Ethel Bamber.
