Most of the softball kings have donned theirfootball uniforms and are driving toward readiness for the seasonplav.Haimes, for 15 years a top coach in Kids. Inc. football, basketball and softball-baseball, has a high reputation for turning out A-l teams, This column will bring you a complete report on the Olsen crew, certain to be a top contender, when Coach Haimes furnishes the details,DIVISIONS Kids, Inc. football, like the other sports, operates in divisions — Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Major divisions. Freshmen are 8 and 9 ear olds as of Sept, l, Sophomores are the 10 and 1! yearolds. Juniors the 12 and 13 year olds, Seniors the 14 and 13 vearolds, and the Majors the 16 and 17 year olds.Freshmen must not exceed 95pounds, Sophomores 105 pounds.Juniors 115 pounds, Seniors 130pounds. wrhile Majors are not limited in weight. At last report, no major crews had been announced hv Director Bill Epps.Within these divisions, especially in the Freshman, Sophomore and Junior divisions, leagues are formed. These leagues compete with the other leagues in their division at season’s end, or at least have done so in past years, in city playoffsLeague champions will be crowned in each of the loops.
