NEEDLEWORKS BOOKS FIVE BALL GAMESLocal Flashes Meet Willow Grove This Afternoon at Lake ViewFor the fast waning baseball season, Manager Hunter of Royers-ford Needleworks club, has five good games booked ahead, beginning this week-end, at the Lake View park diamond.The needlemakers will greet Willow Grove club, first half champs of the Bux-Mont league, this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Tomorrow afternoon the Towanda club, Philadelphia nine, will come here and renew the game which was interrupted by rain Labor Day. Both games will be at the park, beginning at 3 o’clock.Another drawing card Is the House of David nine. The Veard-ed players who were defeated by the locals 4 to 1 on the last day of the farmers’ picnic, will play here again Wednesday night at Pennsylvania ball park, promising to avenge the first defeat.Next Saturday afternoon the Royersford entry in the Perkiomen valley league will at last come to grips with the Port Providence nine in the play off game to decide the winners of the first half. This game will be played on neutral grounds, at Limerick.Sunday September 16 the fast Rockledge club, champions of the eastern suburban league, Philadelphia, will meet the needleworks team at Lake View park, bringing with them a star pitcher Zophi, who has wron 22 consecutive games. Zophi probably will twirl against the locals. Another star in the Rockledge line up is Ken Berry, Temple flash.
