Struck by Softball, High School Boy DiesMENDON, Mo. (AP) - A high school boy was hit in the neck with a softball Wednesday and died shortly after.Harry McNown. 16. a senior from Rothville. was a runner at third base during a physical education game when he was hit by a thrown ball.A physician at Marceline Hospital said the impact of the ball apparently had shut off the flowof blood.
