Chicago Kid Believed to Have Been Murdered For Hia Money.Bowling Green, Ky.f Sept. 2.—The decomopsed body of a man was found Monday a short distance from the city in a lonely place. He had evidently been murdered, but the body is in such an advanced state of decomposition that marks of violence are obscured. He was known feere as the “Chicago Kid, and had been in the city only feahort time, haring followed a street fair which appeared here ashort time ago. The man had a big roll of bills when last seen, but there was no money on the body, so it is believed that he was murdered for his money by a gang of sharpers, which also followed the fair.He was a man of about SI, weighed 165 pounds and had a small reddish mustache. He was very deaf and carried a trumpet, which he placed to his ear when holding a conversation. In-his pockets was found a letter from Barpey Furey, the prize fighter, which Indicated that he and the dead man were close friends. The police are making an investigation, but it is feared that if the man was ihurdered the crime was committed by some person who came here in the wake of the fair and there is little hope of apprehending the murderer.
