Johnson Hurts Arm.Washington, D. C., Sept. 4.—Walter Johnson, Washington's premier pitcher and one of the star tw triers of the American league, may never pitch another major league game. Because of an Injury to his shoulder, Johnson was forced to leave the team at Chicago and return to this city for rest and treatment. The pitcher hurt his arm during a recent game at Cleveland, lie said then that tlie conditions were such that he could not play another game tills s.ason. It Is feared that one of the ligaments of Johnson's arm is torn.
