The Travellers were once again sparked by their great pitcher Brian Honke from Winnipeg. It seems that toe Hotelmen would be lost without this bright young pitching star. However, toe Travellers, coached by Butch Peppier, have a powerful hitting club. They get a lot of mileage out of fellows like hockey star Moe Tominuik, Burt McLuskey, Ron MacKenzie, Frank Brennan and Gordon Northey. It goes to show that if toe Travellers can win by being second best in toe Peace River and District Men's Fastball League, toe league itself must be on a par with any intermediate “B” league to toe province. The sports department of The Record-Gazette offers congratulations to Ernie Armitage, sponsor of theTravellers club, and their fine coach Butch Peppier. And to minor league baseball playoffs, toe Peace River Pee ^Mee A” team came out on top in Stettler to win toe Alberta Pee Wee championship. The boys from Peace River are coached by Ernie Marshall, who did a grand Job with toe youngsters throughout toe season. The Sports Department of The Record-Gazette offers Ernie Marshall and his entire team congratulations for a very fine season.
