Pete Goodin To Get Tryout With Houston BuiisThomas Gene (Little Pete) Goodin, w-U known left-handed pitcher, will have an opportunity for a trial with the St. Louis Cardinal baseball system as soon as he returns from Okinawa, where he has been with the Armed Forces.A letter has been received here from George J, Sllvoy, secretary of the minor league clubs of tho Cardinal system, stating that Goodin is directed to report to the Houston Buffaloes of the Texas League for a workout and trial 4s soon as he is discharged.Goodin hurled with the Jacksonville, Fla., Class B club prior to entering the Armed Forces,Ho la reported here to have started the return to tho States from Okinawa Atr ost 20.
