1 -Brewers in Last Qame at Shewbridge Field MondayWillAnother successful season for the Garden City Brewers, winners of their second consecutive Chicago Girls Major league championship, will be written into the records this week-end when they conclude their season’s schedule against the World Champion* Ramblers of Phoenix, Ariz,, and the Jax Brewers of New Orleans, Louisiana state titleholders, at Shewbridge field, 74th and Aberdeen sts.Tonight the Brewers and Ramblers will clash in the third game of their four-game series on the local diamond. The probable pitchers will b# Catherine Fell-meth for Garden City and Amelina Peralta for the Ramblers. Mrs. Fellmeth and Miss Peralta hooked up in a pitchers’ duel in the opener Monday night, with the Brewers emerging victorious 2 to 1, on a two-run rally in the ninth inning.Final Friday.The final game of the series between the world champions and Chicago's rulers of feminine softball will be played at Shewbridge field on Friday night. Carolyn Ollrich, another Brewer mound star, or Catherine Fellmeth will probobly oppose Miss Peralta, who single-handed pitched the Ramblers to the world title last year.Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights the Brewers will conclude their current campaign against the Jax Brewers of New Orleans, theLouisiana state champions for the past three years, who are enroute to Detroit to compete in the world championship tournament.The Jax aggregation will bringinto Shewbridge field one of the best records of any team to invade the field this year. To date the Louisianans have won 57 times in 64 starts, which includes six straight victories over the Chicago Rockolas, who made a southern trip last May.Frieda Savona, captain and shortstop of the Jax ten, has been adjudged by many as one of the best girl softball players in history. Her current batting average is .424, including many extra base hits.Down Rockolas in 4,Two of the leading pitchers for the southern lassies aic Sonny Berger, formerly of Miama, Fla., who has won 22 games in 24 starts, and Lottie Jackson, rookie who also plays in the outfield, is unbeaten in eight starts.Last week the Garden City Brewers ran their current winning streak to seven straight. They swept a four-game series with the Rockola Music Girls, who will represent Chicago at the world championship tournament, which opens next week at Detroit. Saturday night they halted Marie Wad-low and the Tom Boys of St. Louis, 3 to 1, which was the Missourians’ fourth defeat of the season, and the second at the hands of the Garden City girls.Sunday night Mary Skorich, who hurled the Koch Furniture of Cleveland to the runner-up position for the world title last Fall, and shutout the Brewers twice last May, was beaten, 2 to 0, behind the excellent hurling of Carolyn Ollrich.
