Provo Meets Royal; Title Games MondayTimps Tackle Kids in Clubs’ Final Encounter of Year; Helper, Holsum Seek Championship Labor Day, fo”r Vi?h State league teams will play their final pair ofdouble-headers for the season Sunday and Monday at Community*park.Provo and Royal take the field for a twin bill Sunday, and Holsum and Helper stage their all important dou* bleheader Monday. Both bills will start promptly at 2 p. m.Holsum, which won the first half title, is trailing the league leading Carbon county outfit by one game A split would give Helper the second half title, and a three^game series to determine the season’s winner would be necessary. But should KoLsum take both games, the season would end without a playoff.,. Tliere will be nothing at stake in the Sunday bill, but both Royal and Provo always play good balk The local outfit will be without the services of Sammy Oliver, young right hander, who is playing with the Salt Lake * mne in a national tournament in Chicago. So it is probable that Alvin Shafer and Thome Doggie will be the hurling choices of Manager Mick Scanlon.Joe Varney and Lefty Cole prob-ably will take the mound for the limps, although Bill Page may get the call in one of the games. The Monday encounters should be two of the season** best. Helper is up there for the first time since the club entered the state league, and they’li be putting everything they have into the fight. The Holsum players, anxious to end the season Monday, undoubtedly will do the same thing.Inasmuch as Lee Johnson probably will take the mound for Holsum against the House of David nine Sunday morning, the hurling selections for Holsum probably will be Bill McDuffie and Mel Scott, two ace righthanders. Manager Claude Engberg may use Reese Llewellyn, his port-elder, in one of the contests, however.Tom Jackson and Joe Budler are the probable Helper hurling select tions. Dick Brasher, he of the wind*1' up, is a capable relief man.
