Eckert have been notified to sit on the cover until the aforesaid pugs and their game have been smothered.Acting Governor Oglesby is the gentleman who gave the big cover the jar that slammed it shut and then locked it down by sending the local sheriff a request that he take advantage of every necessary means to enforce the law and keep the lid on.“Complaints from Spring Valley citizens,” says the press reports, were received by Mr. Oglesby Monday, which told of a fight or two that had been pulled off in the past, with the additional information that another was to occur this evening.” It is said Mr. Oglesby rang for his secretary at once. Princeton, 111.Dear Sir:—The attention of this department has been called to the fact that a prize fight is advertised to take place at Spring Valley on September 3rd.
