Williams (10 yards) and Malon Edwards (30 yards).Marian Catholic 6, Thornton 6— A one-yard second quarter run from Randy Kriss enabled the hosttip ThornwoodSpartans to seize the halftime lead Friday night, but the Wildcats gained a season-opening deadlock when Lawrence Murphy rambled 65 yards with a recovered fumble in the third period.Tinloy Park 24, Oak Lawn6— The host Titans blew the game wide open in the final six minutes when Larry Hatcher scored a pair of touchdowns for the winners.The first score came on a 25-yard pass from QB Gregg Boldman, who also scored a six-yard TD run of his own, and the final score was a 28-yard fumble return. Johnson Tolbert added a 48-yard scoring run in the first half as Tinley Park led 12-6 over the Spartans at halftime enroute to the season opening win.
