Tracy lined out a single, Dalrymple and F. Risley each leaned against tne ball for a double, and Homer hit for a single. Buehman hit an easy one to Brown, who touched the base and attempted to cut Homer off at third. Keas didn’t have a step ladder, and when finally the ball was returned to the diamond and Jess got his breath four big juicy runs were credited to the Clintons. The Dubuques made a strong effort to tie the score in their half. Voikert fell a victim to strikes, but Jess picked out a nice single. Crawford went to the bat with blood m his eye and caught the first ball pitched square on the nose for three bases,scoring Jess. The Dubuques, however, had bet ter luck, and tied the score on Graham’s two-bsgger and two sacrifices. The visitors added another in the next but blanked the locals, who returned the compliment in the next, the seventh inning. Brown ended the fun by striking cut.
