Consolation Winners AtDauphin TournamentA combined Gilbert Plains and Grandview team won the Consolation Trophy at the Dauphin little League Tournament. Little League player* from thirteen points in Manitoba met at Dauphin on August 23rd for a full day of baseball.Rivers won the 1st event by defeating Langenburg in the finalMMA', • ’' ■r **Our boys dropped a close 4-2 decision to Brandon in their firstThen they went on to defeat Neepawa 16 to 5 with Herbie Andres of Rcblin on the mound.In their third game, against Winnipeg, the boys scored 17 runs, while pitcher Tom Semchuk all owed the opposition only two.In the final game the boys went on to defeat St Amelie 17-10 with Blain Stoughton doing the hurling.Lineup: Blaine Stoughton, Tom Semchuk, Rick Crossiey, Herb Andres, Larry Stotski, Blake Storey, Kelly Turner, Ken Sulik.
