Crusader Eleven FacesSaints In First ContestThe Crusaoers and the Saintstangle tomorrow in the first of their annual football games at Nod field with the klckofl slated for 2; 15 o'clock:.The clash between these semi pro rivals is attracting a lot of interest despite the fact that both have been beaten by the Tyler Aces of Pittsfield this season and only the North Berkshire title is at stake. The game is expected to draw the largest crowd of the fall campaign.A comparison of scoree indicates that the Crusaders have the edge on their foe but this fact does not mean too much, The Saints may be depended upon to make their banner stand of the season. The Crusaders, on the other hand, while boasting of .a better record, have not been going as well as usua] this year.Reports from1 Adams state that the Saints will be minus the services of a few players who have competed this fall but, to take their places, they have signed lip several mainstays of former years* includ-.ing the Trzclnski brothers, Chet and Bruno, and Walt Krypel while Joe Baran, former high school kicking ace is also reported engaged. These veterans may not be In old i time shape but they are sure tomake their presence felt for a while. \The Crusaders have been handl-j capped by the absence of Ed Foote and Joe Moreau for most of the season and neither is jexpected to face the Saints tomorrow. The fact that Joe Kosa, former star bail toter of the Adams team, Is now with the local team adds a spicy angle to the contest-The records of the old foes show that the Crusaders have won five of their eight games played while the Saints have copped three out of seven. The Tyler Aces are the only common- opponent.
