A league will be formed at Marblehead next Friday evening, to be known as ti e North Shore league, and will be composed of two teams from Peabody, the Fr Mathews, who will be known aa the Peabodya and the St Johns. The Salem Y. M. C. A. will represent Marblehead, while James O’Brien will be behind the Danvers team again this season. As there is to be no New England league this season, not a few of the stars from that league will be found in the lineups of the teams in the North I Shore league. Buckey Lew and Pat I Doyle of Haverhill and several other stars have received offers and are expected to accept.Last year’s star Danvers team, which has been shut out of that town this season, is looking for a good place to locate. The players requested to play in the Nc-rth Shore league, but asked to go in as a team, but this was refused them. Capt Coady, Scgrue, Corbett, Lynch, Desmond and Cummings have all been at work for the past two weeks and could ,1ump in at any time and play a fast game.
