Race DriversGet AwardsAt Weedsport! The ninth annual banquet of theWeedsport Speedway was held Saturday night at the Weedsport Hotel with 240 in attendance. A total l of $1500 in point money was dis-j tributed. II The 1963 championship went to John McArdle of Baldwinsville. High point went to the Tantallo Brothers of Waterloo, with runner- , up Sam Reakes of Brewerton, and car-owner Ted Brazak of Auburn. 'The Sportsmanship trophy went to Harvey Calkins of Syracuse. The i most improved trophy went to Bob 1 Chick. The late model champion 1 was Bob Weigand of Jordan with Chet Ward of King Ferry runnerup.There were four trophies awarded drivers for perfect attendance: 1 Bob Weigand, Roy Blanchette, Syracuse ;Chet Ward and Stan Josh-: anski, WTeedsport. A total of 12 ; trophies were presented.Music for dancing was furnished by Eugene LeBoeuf of Jordan, and refreshments were served during i the evening. jMr. and Mrs. Stanley Dudzinski, ] owners of the Weedsport Speedway i are now improving the track. They t are resurfacing it, widening the , turns and making other major im- # provements.
