Altho a rough wind was blowing, which made it 1rather d sagreeable to witch tbe game, je four hundred loyal fans turned out to , see the old Tiger players who played , on the team which lowered Akron’s j colors four years ago and brought the 1 state championship to this cit;-, play ti again. Outside of hurdling, the game* was a good one. Many of the locals r*net having played before this season did not quite understand the new rules r5 whlgh prevent hurdling in any form. ^Asa result the All-Massillon team was lt;■penalized for about one hundred yards. 4 ’ I Ihe Akron Tigers won tbe toss and 1 ch se the north goal. Akron kick* dM* off to Massillon. *Ma sillon tried to * ■ gain ten yards thru Akron’s line, but *failed. Afen n tried to gain thru Mas- f 1 sillon’s line and also failed and was t forced to punt. Brown received the «ball on Massillon’s five yard line ard 3 brought it back fif.een yards. Getz 1 ’ hurdled the line and Massillon was c 3 penlt;lized fifteen yards. Bast punted 1 7 the ball, which was fumbled by an f ') Akron player and picked up by Clap-1 per. Getz hurdled the line again and ' Massillon was penalized twenty-five , ' yards. Bast punted and the pigskin was caught by “Fritz” Miller while'jon the run on Massillon’s ten yard rline Massillon fumbled on the five t 3 j yard line, an Akron player falling on f 3 j the ball Akroa was forced to punt, s Brown getting it on the fifteen yard 1* line.
