Both games start at 7:30 p.m.For Linton it is the final football game for eight senior players. The seniors on the Linton team are: Tony Ledbetter, Tim Stockrahm, Rodney Robertson, Herb Abbott, Mike Harroll, Jim Newton, Ken Gabbard and Jeff Brannon.Tonight s game looks like a defensive battle from beginning to end. The Eagles’ two victories have come by less than one touchdown, a 7-6 win at Cascade and a win overMonrovia.Offensively the Eagles don’t have a strong running or passing game. But defensively the Eagles limit opposing offensesAs in the past South Putnam is bigger than Linton, but the Miners, as in the past, could be quickerSouth Putnam has neverbeaten Linton and former Miner assistant football Coach Wayne Scheuter would like to close with a victory.Linton coach Dan Galbraith says he’s not going to change a thing for this game. “We feel we can pass against them,” said GalbraithIf Linton does go to the air, ends Mark Gennicks, Ken Gabbard and Randy Sanders could be busy tonight, with tailback Brad Wagner and wingback David Yount being targets of quarterback Rodney Robertson,Tony Ledbetter, who had to miss the Union game with an injury, will play tonight, but see only limited action Ledbetter will snap the ball on the punting team.At Dugger-Unon, Coach Paul Steele says the Bulldogs are getting fired up for this last game.Steele says Martinsville is a smart ball team which gets the jump on teams early. TheBlackhawks have had a rough year while the Warriors are cruising along at 7-1. North Knox is no longer in the Blue Chip Confernece so this game has less meaning than in the past.North Knox is healthy and looking to go into Vincennes Lincoln next week with only oneloss
