Two Kayakists j Leave Wellsburgi WELLSBURG, W, Va. (UPI) ! —Two young kayakists making ,a transcontinental voyage left!I this Ohio River community ear-1 I ly today and headed for thePennsylvania border.Jim Curnes, 24, of Wheeling, and John Davidson, 21, of Carlisle, Pa., told their parents they hoped to reach Fredericksburg, Pa., by nightfall.They will travel to Pittsburgh on the Ohio, change to the Mo- jnongahela and then to the Cheat ! River before a portage to the Potomac River and the last leg i of the trip to Chesapeake Bay.The two, bearded and getting tired, left Astoria Ore . May 19 in their small, green kayak. They hope to make Washington by late November.
