Ardmore-ElkmontTilt Hard FoughtPutting up stubborn resistance at every point though unable to threaten, Ardmore held a more polished Elkmont football eleven to a 13 to 0 victory here Friday night.The Elkmont line, though slightly outweighed, played a brand of football that should be labeled, “supelative,” providing two tiashy backs, Robert Witt and Alvin Holt, plenty of opportunities to make substantial gains.The Ardmore defense was far superior to the offensive game and gave the County High lads lots of trouble. A large representation fom Ardmore and Elkmont was at the game in addition to supporters of Athens High school which played out-of-town Friday.
