Dalrympleand then a few Hallowe'en gamesamong which was a minature golf gain:'using pumpkins and apples, also carrying pumpkins on tablespoon. Theprizes of the former were awarded toMrs. Mary Tyner and Will Simpkinsand of the latter to Mrs. Ruth Simpkins. The committee in charge haddecorated the rooms in true Hallowe’enstyle and the success of the eveningwas due to the following in charge:Mcsdamcs, Bertha Gripper, MaudeWiddefield, Onida Doan, Anna Kendall,Millie Canmack and Minerva Pennington.On Wednesday evening the Seniorsand Junior classes of the high schoolhad what was termed a Senior hunt.The seniors were given 15 minutesstart and had to hide some pla#e within the city limits, the juniors had one hour to hunt them and failed to findthem as they were hiding behind comshocks out on Elmer Cook's place. Sothe juniors treated them with a partyat the gymnasium Friday evening.An Indian show was given at theRialto Friday evening when an Indiangave talks and various entertainmentswhich was well appreciated by a largeaudience. He spoke in several languages. played various instruments andwas well educated. He said he waspart Indian and part Hawaiian.A fail festival was held at the Congregational church by members of thlt;Aid society Friday afternoon and served oyster supper at 6 o’clock.Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McMillianwho formerly resided at Mt. Pleasant jmoved the past week onto the Finleyrfarm east of Salem.Mrs. Della Glendenning and Mrs.Alice Fisher and daughters. Mary andVivian attended the funeral services ofthe 10 months old son of Mr, and Mrs.George Johnson at Farmington Wednesday.Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Stevens anddaughters. Misses Ethel and Eleanor.Mr. and Mrs. Victor Morren, RalphTyner and Miss Margaurite Myers andDr. B. Hartley were among those fromSalem attending the Wesleyan-Carth-age football game at Burlington Thursday evening.1Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Guyer spent Thursday with friends at Fairfield. Ia.M
