If we play it repeatedly, we will defeat the purpose of the music. It will tend to lose its significance and soon the crowd will not rise to its feet when the band starts playing the famous air. We cheapen the song by playing it too frequently.When the team is being hard pressed, our band should strike tip a lively tune to put pep into the crowd. Under this condition, the players, too, are encouraged by music with pep and enthusiasm.The Longhorn Band and its efficient director, Burnett Pharr, back our athletic teams to the limit, and only the desire to support the team has prompted them to play “The Eyes of Texas** I during a game. However, H will be better for both the team and d the fam to play another tune.0
