CRACK SPORTING GOODS NINE ASKS OXNARDERS TO COMETO LOS ANGELESThat baseball games can be arranged for at as early a date as Sunday next was indicated by a telephone message from Will Cornett, the well-known Los Angeles sporting man and ball player, to Ed Hearne today.Cornett wants to arrange a game for next Sunday to be played at Los Angeles next Sunday.“With the big leaguers featured asstars, we can draw a crowd of 9,000 people out for the game,” declared Cornett over the phone. He stated, however, if Oxnard was unable to come south they would play up here.Whether or not matters can be so arranged as to make a game at thisearly date possible is now puzzlingthose who are at the head of the ball organization. The time being so limited, a chance to get in any practice is slim, though it is possible such a game may be arranged.
