“C” Team Buries Lutheran North In A.B.C. Tilt, 39-0)By JohnsonLast Saturday morning on Eaton Field under clear skies, Western’s paging “C” gridmen swamped Lutheran North, 39-0. The game was featured by the forward passing of Golden.9Western received the kickoff and soon Golden lobbed a 15-yard pass to Pearsall for the first cadet touchdown. His pass to Snyder for the extra point was stopped. Later in the fii'st quarter he fired a 30-yard pass to Shane for another T.D. The kick for the point was blocked. In the second quarter halfback Snyder dashed 35 yards to score, and Golden kicked the extra point. Western’s“C” team led, 19-0, at the half.In the third period, Golden had an attempted field goal blocked. Then he hit Shane with another 25-yard pass and also kicked the extra point. Early in the 4th quarter a 20-yard aerial, Golden to Pearsall, rang up another touchdown. Golden kicked the point.With time for only one more play, Golden shot a beautiful pass into the arms of Shane, who stepped over the line as the buzzer sounded.
