Joe Hahn, the youngest member of the team, is the real leader in hitting*. Boehler has a higher average than Hahn, but as he was in only three games, the honor rightfully goes to joe. This was Joe’s first season in fast company and his mark of .349 is wonderful. Hahn hit around the .260 mark in the spring and by August had boosted his average to .290 and in the last eight weeks when the team was facing its strongest pitching, Joe was hitting at a .450 clip, which brought his season’s average up to .349. Joe Wintz and Bloemer were also hitting the ball with much consistency and are also in the .300 class, Wintz’s mark being .321 and Bloemer being close behind with .312.
