We don't really have any injuries.*’So the top-ranked Indians. 35-15 winners over Class 4A district rivals Port Arthur Jefferson last weekend, have to concentrate on other things during this idle week. • We ll just have to work on our timing, Ethridge says, “and hope we can keep up our momentum.”Although Port Neches-Groves is favored at this point to capture the state championship, Ethridge refuses to look past his final two district games —against Beaumont Charlton’Pol lard and Beaumont Forest Park. It may be an old coaches' cliche/' he says, but you can t worry about anythingbut your next opponent. That’s how too manyteams fall, by looking ahead.“We play Charlton-Pollard next, and theyhadn't won a game all season until they got up against Vidor last week. They beat them 14-9. and we only beat Vidor 14-12 the week before. You never can tell.”None of the Class 4A teams ranked by The Associated Press was a loser in Friday night's action. Only one ranked team — Class B Motley County — lost while second-ranked Jacksboro of Class 2A could manage only a tie.
