Laughlin covered the 2.4-mile course in 11:27 to finish ahead of Portage’s Pat Galla.The rest of the top ten finishers were Mark Pellman (I), Dick Fiseus (I). Steve Kolacz-kowski H), Jon Chapman fit, Mike Walker (I), Jeff Waldo (Ik Enderline tP and Jack McGregor (Ih The Braves of coach Jim Irwin finished with an 11-1 record, losing only to Forest Hills during the regular season and finishing first in the Central Western Cross Country Conference meet..Laughlin has finished first 10 times in 12 meets this year, ending up second in the conference meet.The Little Indians finished in a tie with Forest Hills for first place and a runoff will now probably take place for the conference title. Coach Irwin thought that Centra! Cambria would probably be the site of the runoff, but nothing was definite.
