He wore a leather cover■»over one of his eyes anlt;f his face looked bruised as the result of the peppering which Simms gave him. Frazer pleaded guilty to participating-Jin an affray^ and was fined $200 and costs of the prosecution.i ■The others arraigned for attending the fight are J. McDermott, Charles James, George Blanchard, Cy. Frazer,Samuel Babcock. They pleaded■guilty to being present at an affray and * were fined $5 each and costs ofdthe -court.The prosecuting attorney in his address, said that the fight was pulled off under cover of night, and the greatest endeavor was made to keep the particulars away from the speak-:er. There were 300 people present• •*He urged that there should be such, a heavy penalty imposed on the defendants that would show that the laws of this state must be obeyed so long as. they are on the statute books. The people of this community will not countenance prize fighting within its boundaries.Attorney Glltsch defended the defendants and said that they were not guilty of a very serious crime. .
