Indians And GeesePlay 12-12 Tie InHomecoming OreIt was homecoming for the Wyoming Indians last Friday night, but when the final horn sounded the Wethersfield Geese had played them to a 12-12 tie which, with the loss by Manlius, still left them in third place.The Geese scored the first time they got the ball at the tail end of a 75 yard drive which saw Davis scoring from the one. A pass for the conversion failed.The Indians did not get on' the scoreboard until the second period when Terry Stahl scored from five yards out. A pass attempt for two points failed.It was not until the final period that the Indians scored again to take the lead. Sean Noel recovered a Wethersfield fumble on their 21. Three plays later O’Neill scored from the two. Again a pass on the conversion attempt failed.The Geese got back into the ball game shortly after the middle of the final period when Davis, the Wethersfield quarterback, went 62 yards for the t icing touchdown. For the fourth time of the evening the pass on the conver- ] sion attempt failed, and the score i stayed at 12 all. IThe Indians had twice as many first I downs as the Geese but gained fewer yards from scrimmage during the evening. The Indians had a big edge I in yards gained passing but wrere outclassed rushing by the visitors.This Friday night the Indians go to Bradford to tackle the Panthers who have a two and five record for thisseason.
