A. men’s BPAA All-Star Elims after four rounds in a 16-round final bout that broke all scoring records in the 16-year history of the Southland Elimination tournament.In four three-game matches, the Spook” blasted a 233 average for a 2,797 total to •win nine games and 1lt; three.Over-all, the 16 LA Elimination finalists averaged 214.07 for 192 games in the shooting Sunday at Del Rio. There were 15 games over 250 and seven 700s including a 760 cluster from Berry.Billy Maglione zeroed in on 280 for high game while Spook nailed 279 and 276 to keep his laurels in tact and Foy Belcher slammedhome a 278. Belcher finished the first four rounds in second place with 2,776, averaging 231 for the 12 games.The field of 16 entered the finals with a minimum 203 average from 30 qualifying games. In all, 16 men who averaged more than 200 in the qualifying rounds failed to make the final.
