He was an I1HF director from 1966 to 1972.The Melville, Sask. native, now a special assistant to CAHA president Gordo* Ren wick, will be able to participate in future IIHF meetings but will not have a vote.Dr. Gunter SateUkl, the West German president of the IIHF, said all members of the IIHF are indebted to Gordon Juckes for his unfiring efforts, not only In his leadership in helping build a strong iniemalional association but also for organizing hundreds of team exchanges between European and Canadian ice hockey associations.”The award was made at an IIHF meeting in Prague last weekend and announced Friday by the CAHA.
