DENVER ® — Wyoming’s Cow boys, pre-season favorites to walk off with the Skyline Conference championship, get their big chance Saturday at Laramie © against Utah’s three-time titleholders. If they get by the Utes, the Cowpokes will be in a choice po sition to waltz on to the cham pionship. They have to meet Utah State at Logan and Brigham Young at Provo in playing out their league schedule. The Utes are a formidable hur dle despite their 27-20 loss to Den ver at Salt Lake City last Saturday day. Coach Jack Curtice has a powerful set of backs to send against the Cowboy line and can be expected to offer some new offensive tricks. Wyoming Coach Phil Dickens is mixing up some new offensive medicine for Utah. He said he has shuffled the backfield in a search for more offensive power. ‘One of the ‘shifts moved, third string quarterback Bob Carroll into the first unit in place of Joe Mastrogiovanni, the highly rated ttriple-threater. Montana and Brigham Young are starred at’ Provo Saturday in the conference’s lone television I show of the . This is an encore for the BYU Cougars, who were sensational in losing a 33-32 decision to Utah in last year’s TV show from the Rockies. Originally scheduled for Mis soula, the game was shifted to Provo for technical reasons. Mon tana will feature Dick Imer, the speedy Indianan who leads the conference in rushing.
