Georgia Wins By Squeeze From Furman GriddersATHENS, Ga., Oct. 19—A great Furman defense today all but smothered a sleepy Georgia back* field and the Bulldogs of Athens were not unfortunate in eking out a 7 to 0 gridiron victory' over the Carolinians.One true pass, about the only one the Georgians made, found its way to Buster Cook’s outstretched arms in the second period and he scampered three yards more to a touchdown. Johnson, veterean quarterback, added the extra point with a placement kick and thus was concluded Georgia’s scoring maneuvers for the day. The aerial shot to Cook came from Bobby Hooks— a 25-yard toss directly over his right tackle.
